The Food Service Technology Center was a sponsor at the 12th Annual Food Educators Network International (FENI) Educator’s Conference at the
Allegro Hotel in Chicago, Illinois, February 12th - 15th.
During the conference members Janel Rupp and Lauren Mills of the FSTC were able to reach out to the educator’s of future chefs and provide them with
energy and water savings tips and information that they can pass on to their students.
Lauren was given a 30-minute speaking slot where she introduced the FSTC as a valuable resource for culinary educators seeking the latest information
on running an energy and water efficient operation.
Lauren also tied together the educational focus of the FENI show by sharing her personal experience
as a student working to promote energy-efficiency and achieve green business certification for Dining Services at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
